Description
Denim Bridge Type-I Jacket
The Denimbridge Type 1 Jacket is a refined reinterpretation of a 1940s denim classic, crafted by Shingo Oosawa using his proprietary 13.5oz DB22 selvedge denim. This “Kibata” (unsanforized) denim is left in its most natural state, engineered to become the new standard for fading enthusiasts.
Designed for a high-contrast aging process, it develops unique character and a personalized fit with each wear. Signature features include a Minerva Liscio leather patch, custom โDENIM BASEโ iron buttons, and a prong-less buckle back. The slightly longer body length updates the original silhouette, making this entirely hand-sewn piece a true expression of modern Japanese craftsmanship.

Model is wearing size 40 (One-washed).
About the Fabric โ DB22 Kibata Denim
This jacket is crafted from 13.5oz “Kibata” (unsanforized) denimโan unfinished selvedge fabric woven on vintage shuttle looms in Japan. Unlike standard denim, Kibata skips all finishing processes like sanforization or singeing, retaining the raw energy and “hairy” texture of the loom.
Woven with slightly lower tension, the DB22 fabric may appear flat in its raw state, but washing transforms it, revealing a rich, bumpy texture and exceptional puckering. A key innovation is the “White Selvedge” detail: the edge is specially woven to be stiff and prone to curling, ensuring that beautiful “Atari” (fading) develops naturally along the outer seams.
Shrinkage Comparison (Before & After Washing)
The size chart above reflects the measurements after a standard one-wash process. Since Kibata denim shrinks significantly, these visual comparisons demonstrate how the jacketโs proportions evolve after the first soak.
