DUDE BUNCH is the original denim brand created by Denim Cellar, a select shop in Jiyugaoka, Tokyo. Its concept is the richness that lies between knowing and wearing. It takes apart the great vintage classics by asking “why are they the way they are?” and rebuilds them into pieces you can wear, raise, and verify for yourself — experiential denim that lets you check the answer, not a desk-bound reproduction.

What defines DUDE BUNCH is the attempt to make the very same WWII-era model in both right-hand twill and left-hand twill. The direction of the twill — a detail usually overlooked — changes how the fabric looks and how it fades as you wear it in. The differences that emerge only when the two are placed side by side are exactly the theme of exploration that DUDE BUNCH sets out to pursue.
The line-up centers on the WWII model and extends to era-defining classics such as the Levi’s 501XX 1947 type, the Lee 101 type, and the Levi’s 1966 3rd. Reading the original intent behind the fabric, weave, dye, and hardware, each is rebuilt as a piece rooted in modern life. With both jackets and jeans, you can also enjoy raising a top-and-bottom set together.
