The Onomichi Denim Project was launched in January 2013 as part of DISCOVERLINK Setouchi, aiming to promote the Bingo region’s denim industry and boost Onomichi’s economy through tourism. The project involves locals wearing jeans daily for a year to create natural fades. This process results in unique, one-of-a-kind jeans that embody the wearer’s lifestyle. The project has had over 900 participants since its inception. It collaborates with RESOLUTE designer Yoshiyuki Hayashi for denim production.
