Used Japanese selvedge jeans in excellent condition.
RESOLUTE 710, the brand’s flagship model. Made in Kojima, Japan.
The 710 takes its shape from the late-1960s Levi’s 501 “66”: a medium rise and a slim straight leg with a gentle taper. The cloth is a 14oz Shinya Mills selvedge with a gold line in the ear, finished with a button fly, parallel stitching and a chain-stitched hem. The hem has been shortened and re-sewn with a chain stitch, so go by the flat measurements in the table below.

RESOLUTE was launched in 2010 by Yoshiyuki Hayashi, who by then had spent more than thirty years in denim. He founded DENIME in 1988, one of the brands later grouped together as the Osaka Five. For RESOLUTE he cut the range down to four jeans and made nothing else, on the view that a jeans brand needs a few cuts done properly rather than a catalogue. Every stage is carried out in Japan: the yarn is dyed and woven, then sewn and finished there.
