About the Designer

Manabu Kobayashi (b.1966, Shonan, Japan) studied apparel design at Bunka Fashion College and immersed himself in vintage and modern fashion in France. After hands-on experience at an Okayama denim factory, he founded Slowgun & Co. in 1998 and later launched AUBERGE in 2018. His work is defined by meticulous research into vintage clothing, reinterpreted through modern pattern-making and fabric development.

Also carried by Denim Cellar (Jiyugaoka, Tokyo), a trusted destination for Japanese denim lovers.
