The “JDD 2025 x MTKN Special Edition” is more than just a pair of jeans; it is a collaborative masterpiece born from the Japan Denim Days project. This initiative was created to connect the world directly with the master artisans of Kojima, Okayama—the undisputed holy land of denim.
This model represents a vision for the future of denim, blending legendary Japanese craftsmanship with a deep appreciation for the community that supports it.
Fabric: 13.5oz Pre-Shrunk Premium Selvedge
Made from 13.5oz Pre-Shrunk (Sanforized) Premium Selvedge Denim. Woven on vintage shuttle looms, the fabric strikes the perfect balance between rugged durability and immediate comfort.
The “Pure Indigo” dye is designed for high-contrast aging, promising the coveted “Tate-ochi” (vertical fading) and a deep, personalized patina that evolves with every year of wear.
A hallmark of quality is the “Red Selvedge ID” visible at the hem. This narrow selvedge is proof that the denim was woven on traditional vintage shuttle looms at a slow pace. This old-school weaving technique allows for the yarns to retain their natural texture.
