Description
A fresh take on the chino โ this straight-fit selvedge denim version was developed with a focus on sustainability, comfort, and craftsmanship.
The fabric is a special blue selvedge denim, woven with a blend of recycled polyester from PET bottles and traditional indigo-dyed yarn. This sustainable textile is used not only on the side seams but also on the front and coin pockets, emphasizing detail and consistency.
The cut features a high back rise and two deep pleats, providing a naturally contoured fit around the hips for all-day comfort. Precision patterning ensures a clean silhouette while retaining ease of movement.
True to its tailored roots, this piece is constructed in a factory specialized in slacks. Signature details include the “tako-tsuke” belt loop attachment, D-ring reinforcement, and AMF-style topstitching โ running from the front to the pocket openings and side seams for a refined finish.
The interior is piped and cleanly finished, complete with a built-in waist lining. Pocket bags are made from a durable, vintage-inspired herringbone weave.
Hardware includes a custom YKK zipper with the TCR logo engraved on both sides of the pull, and a Japanese-made, carved natural nut button with laser-engraved branding at the top closure.
A washable, vegetable-tanned leather patch adds a natural touch, reinforcing the productโs blend of eco-consciousness and premium craft. A woven label reading โJapanese Sustainable Fabricโ communicates the core philosophy behind this piece.
